I stand upon the mountain
watching the sun go down...
Ten toads over, a slimy road
leads not to my forever
and the bus can't be found;
so down the road I go
Singing songs
and scuffing lonely shoes.
Wild winds blow in the winter
and rain falls so hard
on the sand it makes puddles.
In soaked shoes I look
at a dark moon, the sky
and a fleet of shooting stars
then wonder if you still love me now .
Some day I hope to share a better sky
with you my love, somehow .

They'll Be Another Night
What sustains her is this pulse of words Beating through her veins. Perhaps its just the music. From all the sweet endearments I whisper in her ear After I kiss her delicate hand. Thoughts settle within her body Like a double shot of bourbon As she exhales then smiles. Before giving that certain look, Like, "I'll have another" Before I take leave and fade into the night. Going dark as a cinder, quickly Wishing my kiss had reached her shoulder. Will there be another night ?

Just Not Morning Folks
While outside raking
The mounds of leaves,
I'd look through our bay window
To see what my loves doing.
There'd be bowls on the table,
A box of Bisquick and spoons.
We always ate on time and not a moment sooner.
In back of our wide trailer home
Her daughter in great dismay
Would feed her rabbits while swearing,
I'd scream to her loudly "Hey".
She hated those silly rabbits
And I often wondered why
In the hell she begged to get them,
Months later we found they died.
My love screamed loudly out the door,
"If you want to eat come now"
So we scurried inside the house quicky.
One washed thier hands and I hand her a towel.
We often ate in silence
For no ones the morning type
But love for each other is present
Between each taste and yummy bite.
I miss those days but things have changed
To the better and not the worse.
We'll always have love for each other,
We just ain't morning folks!

Heaven Can Wait
Her kisses and caresses
Come but once a night.
During slumber
She loves me and holds me tight.
When I look into her eyes,
She never turns away.
We can do what we please.
We say what we may.
I never shed a tear
For here she will stay.
During loving, I worship
Her from head to toe.
While confessing my love
With passions untold.
She quivers and quakes
With my every touch.
In between eack kiss,
I tell her, "I Love you so much".
Tonight there'll be no entrance
To her warm moist place.
I'll save that heaven for another day.
