I didn't see it nor did I hear it
But the pain within my heart
Remembers the bullets at large .
Point blank within an eye blink
From a crazed and angry animal
Who calls himself a gentleman .
Does it not break your heart to read
And acknowledge that people have
No regards for human life anymore ?
Headlines some day they just might say
"Four dead and there's more to follow".
God take away these lench mob eyes .
Take away the anger that seeps through
My pores like murderous blood whenever
The weight of many deaths wears me down.
To the level of snakes , vipers and predators .
Blame games can't raise the dead .
Gun regulation my old black ass if ones denied
They'll grab a bat instead .
Does it not break your heart to see
And acknowledge that people have no regard
For human life and there's no safety for our kids ?
Where did all the rage come from ?
When did it start and when will it end ?
Only God knows all the reasons why
While we cry and scream for justice .

An unfortunate truth of human nature well expressed. Violence and hate has always exited and, unfortunately, as the population increases exponentially, so does the level of violence. In this dog eat dog world, there are too many gnawing free of their choke collars with the taste of blood already in their mouths. Nice write and love the repetition for effect. Really drove it home!
