Dad Memories

As a teen
I wanted a big lazy boy chair
just like dad
positioned
in the middle of the living room.

Ideal for watching TV,
and for looking into the curio
that had a mirror inside.

That was dad's window
to veiw through a window
in the front of the house.

He saw all my dirty deeds,
and if I did leave,
he'd have more than a clue.

Too bad I was a dad too young,
and missed out on fun.
I never got to be
that know all, see all dad.

Man,he had me,
and my brother spooked
for along, long time.
