Loser I Think Not

Some called it a hit and a miss
Like I swung at a ball
That came low and outside,
Or shot for the hoop then hit
The rim, ball dropping wide.

If it was I who missed the tag
         At home plate
Would the crowd yell
That I'm in error ?

  Or scream
I'm the bum of the month ?

Who cares, I'm happy
And obviously she's not .

She keeps calling
And I'm abrupt .
